Who am I ?

English>French freelance translator since 2006 with a Master's Degree in translation from the ESIT school of interpretation and translation in Paris. I am a member of the French Society of Translators (SFT).

As a native French speaker, I translate into my native language only, so as to provide high-quality works.

How do I work ?

Whatever the delivery deadlines, I always take the time to search all information that might help to have a perfect command of the subject. This preliminary work is essential and allows me to choose the most relevant terminology and - as a result - to translate more easily, more quickly and more accurately.

I always check terminology in various and reliable sources while trying to avoid translated sources.

I do not hesitate to return my translations with comments to express my doubts - if any - or justify some of my translation choices.

My aim is not to provide word-for-word translations but to provide translations that read like the originals, as if they had been written by French speaking people. I translate a meaning, not just the words.

Finally, I always try to let the translations "settle down", so as to read them again with a critical eye.
